1. HOW CAN I GET INFORMATION ABOUT STUDIES IN FRANCE ?
We can provide you with information for free, detailing what the various fields of studies are and which schools and universities provide them and how you can contact them to know more about their specific programs.
We also tell you which schools and universities seem to be best suited for your profile.
2. HOW DO I CONTACT YOU ?
Our emails and phone numbers are available in the "Contacts" section of this site. On reception of your request we'll send you a form that you'll have to fill and return to us with the detail of your search.
3. HOW MUCH DO YOUR SERVICES COST ?
We provide information and guidance for free, as well as printed documents about studies in France - especially a booklet in Hebrew.
Personalized meetings with an advisor to tailo-make your project of studies cost NIS 100.
We can also handle your application process in three programs of your choice for NIS 1,000, handling all the administative procedure for you.
In France, the state pays most of the scolarity fees, making public higher education very cheap for French AND foreign students (from NIS 900 to NIS 5,000 depending on your degree). Access to the campus' restaurant is automatic, and a meal there costs about NIS 15.

4. WHAT ARE THE EXPENSES OF THE DAILY LIFE ?
You should consider a monthly budget ranging from 6,000 to
NIS 8,000 to be comfortable (housing, accomodation, food, transportation, leisure activities...)
Life is usually 20 percent more expensive in Paris - around NIS 9,000 or NIS 10,000 per month.
5. WHAT ARE THE SCHOLARSHIPS I CAN GET ?
If you are a French citizen, you may get a grant depending on your family's income, from about 5,000 to NIS 25,000 for a year. Otherwise, grants are delivered for PhD projects.
As a student you'll get a grant covering part of your flat rent - usually around NIS 1,300.
A specific agreement also exists between the university of Haifa and the Provence-Alpes-CĂ´tes-d'Azur region in South of France.
5. CAN I WORK ?
You won't have a problem to find a half-time job if you have a long-stay visa (ie if you are registered as a student for a duration of more than 6 months).
6. BUT I DON'T SPEAK FRENCH !
There are several bilingual and English-only programs available in France - contact us to know more about these and receive some free documentation.

7. I HAVE THE FRENCH NATIONALITY
Then you'll be considered a French citizen in all regards, making procedures even simpler - you won't go through the application process of foreign students.
8. WHAT ARE THE FRENCH DEGREES AND HOW DO I GET AN EQUIVALENCE ?
The French degree structure is now harmonized to the worldwide standards: Licence, Master, Doctorate.
If you have a Bagrut, you can start a first degree.
If you have a Licence (BA), you'll enter the French system either at L3 level (3rd year of Licence) or at M1 level (1st year of Master), depending on how your degree is considered by the university or school.
9. HOW DO I APPLY TO A FIRST DEGREE ?
In December, you'll have to fill a Preliminary Application Form, then choose to wo options of applications in France. You'll then take a test in French language in February, and get an answer in May or June.
You don't have to follow this procedure if you have a European citizenship.
9. HOW DO I APPLY FOR A SECOND DEGREE ?
You should contact the universities or schools to know which papers they require - or use our Service Prima. Usually universities and schools demand a certified translation of your diplomas, check them for equivalency, then ask you to write a cover letter or interview you.
10. WHEN DO I NEED TO TAKE CARE OF MY VISA ?
Only once you have been accepted in a French university or school - that is, usually in July before your departure for a semester starting in September.
